തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ആലപ്പുഴയിൽ യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് നേരെയുണ്ടായ കൈയേറ്റവും തുടർന്നുണ്ടായ കേസ് അന്വേഷണവും അട്ടിമറിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെന്ന കേസിൽ മുതിർന്ന ഐപിഎസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനും എഡിജിപിയുമായ എം.ആർ. അജിത് കുമാറിന് സസ്പെൻഷൻ. കേസിലെ പ്രതികളായ മുൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ പേഴ്സണൽ സെക്യൂരിറ്റി ജീവനക്കാരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ ക്രമവിരുദ്ധമായി ഇടപെട്ടതായി പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘം കണ്ടെത്തിയതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് ആഭ്യന്തര വകുപ്പിന്റെ നടപടി.
കേസിലെ പ്രതികളെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനായി കേസ് ഡയറിയിലെ ഫയലുകളിൽ തിരുത്തൽ വരുത്താൻ അജിത് കുമാർ കീഴുദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചതായും നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ നൽകിയതായും എസ്.ഐ.ടിയുടെ അന്തിമ റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
