ഇടുക്കി പാമ്പനാറില് നിര്മാണത്തിലിരുന്ന അഞ്ചുനില കെട്ടിടം തകര്ന്നുവീണു. അപകടസമയത്ത് കെട്ടിടത്തില് തൊഴിലാളികള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നതിനാല് ആളപായമില്ലാതെ വന് ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായി.
കെട്ടിട നിർമാണത്തിലെ അപാകതയാണ് അപകടത്തിന് കാരണമായതെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. റോഡിന് സമീപത്തായിരുന്നു ഈ കെട്ടിടം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്.

A major disaster was averted in Idukki’s Pambanar when an under-construction five-storey building suddenly collapsed. Since no construction workers were present on-site at the time, no casualties or injuries were reported. Initial findings point toward structural and construction defects as the cause of the collapse.
