പെരുങ്ങാലം ഭാഗത്തുള്ള ആളൊഴിഞ്ഞ തുരുത്തുകളില്വച്ച് ചാരായം വാറ്റിയ ശേഷം ചെറിയ വഞ്ചികളില് മറുകരയിലുള്ള പടിഞ്ഞാറെ കല്ലടയുടെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില് ചാരായം വില്പന നടത്തുന്നതായി എക്സൈസ് സര്ക്കിള് ഇന്സ്പെക്ടര് മുകേഷ് കുമാറിന് രഹസ്യവിവരം ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. തുടര്ന്ന് ഈ പ്രദേശത്ത് എക്സൈസ് ഷാഡോ സംഘം ശക്തമായ നിരീക്ഷണം നടത്തിവരികയായിരുന്നു. ഇത്തരത്തില് വഞ്ചികളിൽ ചാരായവുമായി വില്പനയ്ക്കായി എത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് അനില് കുമാര് എക്സൈസിന്റെ വലയിലായത്.

Short Brief
The Excise team arrested a man named Anilkumar at Munroe Island in Kollam for brewing and selling illicit liquor (Charaayam) to tourists under the guise of tourism. Following a tip-off received by Circle Inspector Mukesh Kumar, an Excise shadow team monitored the isolated islets of Perungalam where the accused distilled the liquor and smuggled it in small boats to West Kallada for distribution. Anilkumar was caught red-handed during a targeted raid conducted by an Excise team including Assistant Excise Inspector A. Ajith Kumar and other senior preventive officers.
